President Speaks Dear Rotarians and Friends, What an incredible journey it has been so far! As we approach the end of the first six months of this Rotary year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for all that RCPL has accomplished. Each one of you has contributed to our club's growth, innovation, and success, making RCPL shine brighter than ever before. Looking ahead, we have a remarkable calendar of events that promises inspiration and opportunities for fellowship. January 2025 marks our much-awaited District Conference, a celebration of ideas, learning, and camaraderie. Let us attend in large numbers and make the most of this feast of speeches and knowledge sharing. It is an excellent chance to connect with Rotarians across the district and take home valuable insights to strengthen our club. In April, we will welcome our District Governor's official visit to RCPL. This visit is our opportunity to showcase our club’s might—our impactful projects, vibrant unity, and commitment to making a difference. Let us work diligently and present RCPL as a beacon of Rotary ideals. Together, we can demonstrate how we embody Rotary’s motto of "Service Above Self" while celebrating our diversity and camaraderie. As we step into the next half of this Rotary year, let’s embrace our mantra: Innovate, Do More, Grow More. The Importance of Community Service and Festive Spirit Dear Rotarians and Friends, As we embrace the festive season, beginning with the victory of good over evil celebrated in Dussera, and leading into the radiant festival of Diwali, we’re reminded of the virtues of light, unity, and generosity. These festivals are not just times of celebration; they are reminders of our duty to be sources of positivity and hope for those around us. Diwali, with its profound symbolism of illuminating our surroundings and our hearts, urges us to renew our commitment to service. In Rotary, we can turn this light into tangible action, reaching out to those in need and strengthening the fabric of our community. Today, we honor the wonderful participants in our “Olkha Bappa” competition. This event not only showcased creativity but also deepened our community connections and celebrated the artistic spirit of our members. Awards are a reflection of this shared joy, and we congratulate everyone who contributed to making it a memorable event. Looking ahead, I encourage all of us to consider increasing our club’s share of giving to The Rotary Foundation. With this collective generosity, we can create brighter futures for countless individuals. The Foundation amplifies our reach and allows us to drive transformative changes across health, education, and sustainable development initiatives globally. Dear Rotarians August, recognized as Membership Development Month, has been an exceptional period for our club. We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully inducted new members, strengthening our community and securing qualification for the prestigious awards of the month. President Speaks Dear Rotarians, July is a significant month in the Rotary calendar as it marks the annual changeover of leadership.
